Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 5, 2026

Introduction

Push Note ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Push Note Android app and the Push Note Chrome extension (together, the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Key Point: Push Note is designed with privacy by design. Notes and habit data you create in the Android app stay on your device. Notes you send from the Chrome extension are end-to-end encrypted and can only be read by your paired phone.

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage and Security

Notes and habit data created in the Android app are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to remote servers.

Notes sent from the Chrome extension are end-to-end encrypted: the contents are scrambled in your browser before transmission, and only your paired phone holds the key required to decrypt them. Encrypted notes are retained on our backend only long enough to deliver them to your phone.

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect any data processed by the App.

Data Retention: Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Firebase's data retention policies (typically 14 months). Local notes and habits data on your Android device remain on your device until you delete the app or clear the data. The Chrome extension's pairing record stays in your browser until you remove the extension or unpair the device.

4. Third-Party Services

No personal data is shared with these third parties beyond anonymous analytics events and subscription data required for billing. We do not sell or rent your data to any third parties.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information.

6. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, typical GDPR/CCPA rights regarding data access, portability, or deletion do not apply to personal information because none is collected.

How to Opt Out: You can opt out of anonymous analytics by uninstalling the Android app. Your local Android data (notes, habits) can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings. Your Chrome extension pairing can be removed by uninstalling the extension or unpairing the device from the Android app.

EU/EEA and UK Residents: Under GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you have concerns about our data practices.

California Residents: Under CCPA, you have rights regarding personal information, though we do not collect personal information as defined by CCPA.

7. Monetization and Payments

Push Note offers in-app subscription plans through the Android app. The Chrome extension is free; using it to send notes requires an active Premium subscription on your linked Android account.

Free Trial Important Information:

Trial Period: Free trials, when offered, last for 7 days from the time of subscription enrollment.

Automatic Conversion: Unless you cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Google account will be charged the full subscription price.

Trial Availability: Free trial offers may be modified, discontinued, or made unavailable at any time without prior notice. Trial availability may be limited to first-time subscribers or users who have not previously subscribed to our services.

Billing and Renewal: All subscription payments are processed securely through Google Play Billing. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled by the user at least 24 hours before renewal.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription or free trial at any time through your Google Play account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will continue to have access to premium features until that time.

For subscription management, cancellations, and refunds, please refer to Google Play's subscription policies.

8. International Data Transfers

Data we process, including anonymous analytics and encrypted note payloads in transit, may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, through third-party providers like Firebase and RevenueCat. These transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
